The Volunteer Center of Racine sponsors youth programming in three main ways. First, by utilizing the best practices of our affiliate organization, the Youth Volunteer Corps, we train young people ages 11-18 in non-profit work that stresses the values gained by becoming an active participant in our community. Second, we seek out activities and agencies who benefit directly from working with youth and these connections reinforce the incredible power community service contributes to improving the lives of others. And lastly, we strive to remain current in the needs in our community by posting opportunities on our website and producing annually the Youth Resource Booklet.
Our Youth program pairs Team Leaders, who act as role models and educators, with young people. There are strategies for working through a project and obtaining best results, and insightful activities that promote understanding. Together they find a way to harness their energy, creativity and resourcefulness to solve the problems in our community. If you are interested in finding out more about our Youth Programs, please contact, Jessica Breiwick; phone: 262-886-9612 or email:firstname.lastname@example.org
